Birria Beef Consommé Ingredients:

  • 5 Guajillo peppers, toasted, seeds removed

  • 3 Arbol chiles, stem removed

  • 1 tbsp cumin, ground

  • 3 cloves

  • 8 cups beef broth

  • 5 roma tomatoes, quartered

  • 5 garlic cloves

  • 2-3 lbs beef roast, cut into 2 inch cubes, seared

  • 1 cup water

  • 1 yellow onion, trimmed, quartered

  • 1 tbsp Mexican oregano

  • 2 bay leaves

For Serving:

  • 2 packages Maruchan GOLD Soy Sauce Flavor Ramen

  • 1 cup Birria Beef consommé

  • 2 tbsp white onion, diced

  • cilantro leaves, as needed

  • lime wedges, as needed

DIRECTIONS

PREPARE CONSOMMÉ

To prepare Birria Beef, add ingredients in a medium stock pot and simmer 2-3 hours until pull apart tender. Discard onion, bay leaf. Reserve beef and pull apart. Puree consommé.

PREPARE NOODLES

To prepare Birria Ramen Noodles, boil 2 cups of water and 2 cups of reserved Birria consommé in saucepan and cook 2 packages of Maruchan GOLD Soy Sauce Ramen for 3 minutes. Allow noodles to soften slightly, and then gently spread them apart. Place contents of soup base in saucepan and stir to incorporate.

PLATE AND ENJOY!

Divide noodle between 2 serving bowls. Top each bowl with 1⁄2 cup Birria Beef, 1 tbsp diced white onion, cilantro and lime. Enjoy!
